Learning to Blog

I found that creating this blog was surprisingly easy. Even with most of my attention focused on my conversation with my mom, I could still make the blog in less than five minutes. Creating this blog seemed similar enough to creating an email account or a Facebook account. Like a Facebook account, the blog has security settings and the blog seems similar to having your own wall like on Facebook. I don’t know if you have “friends” on the blog account like Facebook, and I’d like to know how I can tell if people actually read what I write or my words will just be lost forever in the cyber world. Also, years down the road can someone dig up all my blogs when I’ve forgotten about them? My guess is yes, so I will watch what I post!
Now that I have a blog, my opinions haven’t changed on whether I’d trust blogs to have accurate information because people can create anything they want on blogs. In all actuality though, I’ve never read or followed any blogs, and I only hear rumors that they overflow with emotion that people cannot express in reality so they rely on the virtual world to comfort them. Therefore, my biased opinion of blogs has never been a positive one; however, I do look forward to seeing other people’s blogs so that I can actually have a valid opinion about blogs. Who knows, I may actually like the idea of reading blogs by the end of this class!
