Where I Get My News

News seems to be everywhere in our world, from the latest on the weather to rebellions across the world. News happens on a local, domestic, or global scale and never stops happening. That is why I find the most current source of news on the internet, which can be updated in seconds. Only minutes after the latest Tsunami hit Japan it was all over the two internet sources I use most: MSN and Yahoo. They even fed live images of the water ravaging the roads and homes as it was happening. News has never connected me to people across the world like that before; I could see their fear as the unstoppable force tore through everything. My next source of learning about the latest news is Facebook; usually my friend’s mom posts news stories she finds interesting on there. She links many of the stories back to the Gazette – the newspaper in Colorado Springs. Another place I hear of news is from my dad because he watches the news on TV every night. He will watch most news shows that are not on cable because we don’t have cable. When I’m at home, I’ll watch the news on TV as well, but at school I just use my computer. Since starting this class, I have been regularly checking the New York Times and comparing their views with those of BBC. The only source I do not really get news from is the radio because I usually do not listen to the radio on a daily basis.
